De la Rosa FAQ

  • Please note that our gowns are not made to your exact measurements, but they are made-to-order in US numeric sizes. See our size chart to view our sizes. Please order your gown or separates in the size closest to your measurements. It is the customer’s responsibility to take measurements correctly and choose size accordingly to the size chart provided. If you are in between sizes, we suggest going up a size since it can easily be altered.

  • Please also note your gown or separates will most likely need alternations to achieve the perfect fit (including the hem being shortened). Please assume that alternations will be necessary and allow ample time for this. Choosing an alterations specialist near you is best and encouraged.

  • Because of the nature of “made-to-order”, once the order has been confirmed, the size cannot be changed or cancelled. There are no returns or exchanges once the order has been placed.

  • A minimum of seven (7) months prior to your event is necessary for placing your order and the creation of your gown or separates. This time frame starts at the time of your first deposit. Some orders can be accommodated under this timeframe, but will depend on many factors. Please send us an email to determine if our timeline meets yours or in the event you need to rush your order.

  • A 50% deposit is required at the time of placing your order. The remaining balance is to be paid prior to shipping along with any shipping and tax costs or international shipping fees if applicable.

  • We do ship internationally, but costs differ per country/location. It is also the customer’s responsibility (not de la Rosa Hawaii’s) to pay duties/customs taxes upon arrival to your country. Please be sure to check these regulations with your local customs office before placing your order to budget for these costs.

  • Please note that all of our fabric is very fine quality silk and because of this, it must be taken care of with extreme care. Snagging, stretching and stains can occur easily if not handled with care. All gowns must be professionally dry cleaned only.

  • Please understand that silk is a natural fiber and might have slight imperfections. Please note that these are natural occurrences and not blemishes and will not be returnable for this reason. We take great care in selecting the best pieces of fabric when creating your garment so that any natural occurrences are not highlighted and rest assured you will have a beautiful creation and wedding garment.
